Reality Beat Sweetly

There are Friendly Friends
In not so friendly far off places,
Requiring a Hand
And heavens Almighty Graces.
So if possibly you might
Say a prayer for them tonight
This ChiChick here would consider most sweet,
A hand in helping a continuing heartbeat.

Sweet Dreams from Sweet Reality Beat.

Humble Hero Good News

I was getting ready for bed when I heard something strange come from the television my family was watching in the living room. Skidding out of the bathroom in my PJ's and socks..."what was that?!" I asked. I almost couldn't believe my ears. Good news? Seems like an oxymoron these days. Like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

The driver of an 18-wheeler realized there was a problem with a car driving down the highway. The woman inside had a heart attach and passed out at the wheel. This humble hero thought quickly enough to pull in front of her to act as a barrier between what could have been and what now is. She's alive and well. He claims he's no hero, just did what he had to do. Check out this video!

Established

"Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known." ~ Matthew 10:26, was the leading line that I read on his blog, Chicago News Bench. This, after a comment left in response to "It's Alive!" the birth of Sweet Reality Beat. And not to forget the birth announcement of Sweet Reality sent out by our blog friend Chicago Bungalow. These bring to mind the wisdom in these words:

"Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established." ~ Proverbs 15:22

I am grateful to be in such good company and counsel. On this day three, I feel welcomed and well advised.

Thank you Mr. Mannis and Chicago Bungalow. Here is to the Truth...and sharing Sweet Reality!

Faith Jogger! Grace Partner!

This will warm your heart! Some of us think walking to the kitchen before your first cup of coffee in the morning is taking a chance! This amazing high school runner Alyssa Rossi, not to mention her team mates, who are noted in the L.A. Times, are running track. What's so amazing you ask? Alyssa is blind!! She has been from birth. She wears a belt around her waist and relies on her partner to lead her all the way.

Would you trust some of your friends to lead walking you with your eyes open...much less closed and running? Not only are these girls volunteering for the task of being Alyssa's partner, but they are sacrificing. If Alyssa grows breathless, even if they haven't, they pace themselves for her. Check out the article!

It's Alive!!!

First breath in the blogosphere!!! Gaaaaasp! Like a new born baby's first passage to chilly air. Like a new plant pushing its way up through the hard cold spring dirt. There is a sweet reality in this harsh time. Are you ready for some sunshine? I am.

I L-O-V-E...LOVE Truth. And I L-O-V-E...LOVE Good News! There is too much garbage floating in the water these days. We could all use a breath of fresh truth, good news, justice, even....what?....love. Funny thing is that nobody is really reporting on good things these days. Let's give it a shot!

If you come across some good news, sweet truth, or just something to warm the day, I'd love to see it and potentially post it! Be patient with me though, I'm new at this stuff. So it may take me a bit.

Today's good news....it's good to be alive!
